Gaijin Entertainment, the developers of Modern Conflict 2 and Braveheart, just launched a new game in the App Store that is both entertaining and exciting. As the king, battle against enemies and steal their land. Take back what is yours and expand your kingdom.
Players control a medieval army of men who only want to take over the next castle. At the start of each new battle, each side has control of one tower. The tower generates additional units over time. For example, your tower might start with 15 soldiers, but if you wait a few seconds, your tower will generate more soldiers and you can attack the nearby base with more power.
As towers get taken over, they generate more soldiers. The more soldiers being generated, the better chance you have of overthrowing another tower.
When you send an army to attack, you will lose half of your men. If you have less men than are occupying the tower, you will lose the battle and lose all of your men. To secure a tower, send bigger parties than you will need. That way, if the enemy invades the newly acquired property, you won?t lose everything.
Players gain magical powers and amulets that help in the fight. For example, the ?Guerillas? power will send reinforcements to one of your castles when you trigger it. Amulets aren?t triggered by anything. They simply add power to your army. For example, the ?Masons Trowel? will allow you to erect walls around your tower before a battle.
Players can also upgrade their towers in the middle of the battle. It will cost men, so be sure to have plenty of soldiers inside. You can add cannons, build reinforcement walls, and more.
There are 35 different battlefields across seven different chapters in Campaign mode. There are also six different missions in survival mode, which is nice because normally, a game?s Survival mode is based on one, endless game where you try to survive for as long as possible.
What I liked: The dialog is funny and the game is entertaining. It is very challenging, but still lots of fun.
What I didn?t like: This game is a little on the pricey side, yet there is still an option to add coins through in-app purchases.
To buy or not to buy: Like I said, it is a little pricey. You can play the first chapter for free in the Lite version. I recommend trying it out first, just to make sure you think the game is worth three bucks.
